There will be a presentation lasting 20 minutes on the practical issues facing senior HR and Compensation advisors followed by facilitated break out groups on the following topics:-
1. What are organisations proposing for 2010 regarding average pay increases and bonus structures? What is the variable in variable pay? Will the City see an increase in base salaries for individuals in key positions?
2. What are organisations doing in light of the UK 2009 Budget with regard to tax, pensions and overall compensation?
3. What is the impact on contracts of employment in light of the FSA Code on Remuneration and the Government's desire to rein in bonuses?
The symposium will finish with a summary of the challenges faced by HR and Compensation specialists in response to the changing face of City compensation.
