A breakfast forum was held in Canary Wharf at the beginning of July specifically for our Docklands members.

James Coombs, PwC, opened the event with his presentation on the FSA draft code on remuneration and the UK Budget 2009 - what does this really mean for HR?

The City HR Academy was next on the agenda as City HR, MOL and the CIPD work together to bring CIPD qualifications training to the City and Docklands. Frank Unsworth, MOL, was on hand to update members on how this training will be delivered.

Andrew Pullman, or People Risk Solutions, concluded the morning with his focus on HR and L&D, and how these professionals can plan for the Upturn and catch the crest of the wave.

This was an excellent opportunity for our members in Canary Wharf, not only to be privy to a forum specific to them, but also an opportunity to network amongst fellow HR professionals in Docklands.
