Why Join?

City HR offers a unique blend of services, events and networking opportunities targeted at the specific needs of those working within financial services, professional services and the wider City market.    Although the word “City” is used, this is a liberal term to cover organisations domiciled in Canary Wharf, the West End, the Square Mile and beyond whose businesses contribute to the well-being of the City as a major force in the global financial markets.

Furthermore, it is a not-for-profit organisation run by elected HR professionals for the benefit of the HR community.  This means that our activities are either free, or highly discounted, and are underpinned by experts in every discipline of HR.

There are many reasons why organisations join City HR:-

  1. To knowledge-share, exchange approaches and to leverage off best practice on HR issues
  2. To achieve economies of scale.  For example, City HR develops policies, procedures and guidance manuals on relevant issues affecting a large number of employers and these are available to all members on a free basis.
  3. To network with other HR professionals.  The member base is so large that as well as sharing information and ideas with the wider group, members also meet in distinct smaller networking groups to discuss issues relevant to their sector.    City HR has something to offer the smallest to largest organisation.
  4. To conduct HR benchmarking amongst competitors in a safe environment.
  5. To secure high quality HR training, education and consulting services at a discounted rate.
